Aoife Earls obtained her Bachelor of Science (Honours Psychology, Minor Biology) from McMaster University. Her interest in the communication between the body and the mind led to the pursuit of a Master’s of Science in Medical Science, with a specialty in behavioural neuroscience at McMaster University. During her masters, Dr. Earls investigated animal models of lupus-like disease, and specifically psychoneuroimmunology (the connection between the immune system, the brain, and hormones) which sparked her permanent interest in the connection between the body and the mind in total health. Dr. Earls went on to study naturopathic medicine at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Ontario. During her internship years at CCNM, Dr. Earls received additional training with HIV/AIDS cohorts, and has additional clinical training in clinical oncology.

With an emphasis on prevention in health, Dr. Earls has a passion for sharing her knowledge and also enjoys teaching about self-care and optimal health practices through health forums and corporate wellness programs. Dr. Earls brings with her to the Wellpath family a wealth of experience in patient care from clinics in Hamilton, Burlington and Oakville Ontario. Dr. Earls is a registered Naturopathic Doctor with the Board of Directors of Drugless Therapy–Naturopathy, and is a member of the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors.

In her spare time, Dr. Earls is a passionate cyclist and singer. In the words of Beecher, “The body is like a piano, and happiness is like music. It is needful to have the instrument in good order.”
